1. What did you want to be as a child?

An actress.

2. What was your worst job?

After college, I was an account executive at an advertising agency and my one account was Hardee's fast food. Burger and fries ads? Yuck!

3. Your first Lucky Break?

I got hired to be a Production Assistant at WPEC, the ABC affliliate in West Palm Beach. One of the anchors was Gary Tuchman (now on CNN) and he basically taught me to be an on-air reporter and then helped me get my first on-air job at WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland - - that is where he got his first on-air job. He was an amazing mentor and believed in me and I credit him in large part to my 20 year TV career.

4. What’s the best part of your day?

When my husband walks through the door and we sit down and enjoy a glass of wine and talk about all the in's and out's of our day.

5. When do you feel most beautiful?

When I am wearing a beautiful outfit and I'm surrounded by people who love me. It sounds like an odd mix; one is very superficial and one is earthy. But it is the God's honest truth!

6. What makes you most happy?

Being with my family (and my two Havanese dogs!) when everyone is at a good place and just thoroughly enjoying each other. The love is palpable and it just feels so good.

7. What stresses you out the most?

When someone I love is in pain. I'm a bit of a control freak and I tend to want to "fix" it. And when I can't, it is agony for me.

8. What trait do you find most attractive in a person?

Kindness.

9. What are the 5 things (besides your computer and phone) that you’d feel lost without?

My home - it is what anchors me and where most of my best times have been spent; my garden - it offers solace, beauty and peace. For me, being out there is like charging my battery. I don’t know if I'd honestly "feel lost” " without these but I sure am attached to them; my blue and red Johnny Was embroidered, knee length cardigan. I’m always cold and I wear it ALL THE TIME!; my charm bracelet. My mom gave me a few charms off hers - and then my husband has filled it up over the years. All the charms have meaning - I rarely wear it - but I love it - and it is part of me; my gardening clippers- our longtime gardener gave them to me as a b’day gift years ago and they are so well made. I have resharpened them numerous times!

10. What’s the one object/thing you are always looking for, but can never find?

My iPhone!

11. What are you constantly buying over and over again?

White cotton t-shirts - I'm constantly looking for the best fitting one.

12. What’s your Favorite scent?

Jo Malone.

13. What is your usual working uniform?

Jeans, cotton shirt of some sort (ranging from white V-neck tee to Johnny Was embroidered tee to Frank & Eileen linen button down), Superga white tennis shoes or Nikes or leather “booties" and a sweater.

14. What’s your Secret Hidden Talent?

I'm really good at styling for photographs. I do it for my photos and videos on @she_sez and I also do it for my job as a magazine editor. I used to hire stylists for the latter job, but I learned a lot from watching them and then I just started doing it myself.

15. How do you take care of yourself on the daily?

Very little. In the morning, I do moisturizer and chapstick or Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream on lips. Sometimes a little Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. In the evenings, I clean my face with a rose scented witch hazel that I buy at Whole Foods. Once or twice a week I'll use retinol that my dermatologist perscribed for me. But most nights I just slather on moisturizer. Sometimes it is a heavy one like Weleda Skin Food or Olive Cream Balm Intensive Moisturizer. Otherr times it will be a dab of Lubriderm.

16. Bath or Shower?

I'm a bath person. Soaking in a hot tub gets me off my feet, makes me still, and relaxes me. I take really hot baths and love tossing in things that make it smell nice and or bubbles.

17. How do you start every morning?

I grab a cup of coffee, check my @She_Sez instagram , and then run thru my emails for my job as editor of Ventura Blvd magazine.

18. Favorite breakfast?

I typically have a small bowl of some sort of low sugar, quasi healthy cereal - - or a rice cake with Barney Almond Butter (crunchy).

19. If you could outsource any aspect of your beauty or grooming routine, what would it be?

I'd love to have a professional massage once a week. I work a lot at my computer and when I have a great massage it makes my neck and back feel so much better. The tension and kinks just go away!

20. How do you prepare for a special event?

Bath, moisturizer, professional blow out, and tons of water - just tap water - I don't believe that all those fancy bottled or jugs of water have any health benefits. My filter creates great water right from the tap.

21. Who would you like to play you in the movie of your life?

Blake Lively.

22. What’s your favorite body part (on yourself)?

My smile - I feel like it says who I am.

23. What do you want to accomplish this year?

I just want to get thru it! Please can Covid just be over?

24. If you could have any talent bestowed upon you, what would it be?

I'd love to be able to sing - just belt out a tune and have it sound awesome.

25. What’s your favorite Heales product?

I have tried them all and my favorite by far is the Body Oil.
